Eni started the third development phase of the offshore Kuito field in Angola, located at a water-depth of about 350 meters.
Once all the wells are completed, Kuito total production will be gradually increased from present 60,000 up to 95,000 barrels of oil per day by the half of 2002.
The development of Kuito is carried out in phases using the most advanced deep-water technologies, guaranteeing safety and protection of the environment and significantly contributing to the growth of the Angolan economy.
Eni has a 20% share in the field; the other partners are Chevron (the Operator), Sonangol, TFE and Petrogal.
