A2A wins Milan gas distribution tender, still 177 concessions to be awarded

The total value of the concession, which will expire in twelve years, is 1 billion 370 million euro.

Milano 1 is the second biggest Italian distribution area after Rome 1 East, with more than 830 thousand delivery points in the Municipalities of Milan, Baranzate, Bollate, Cinisello Balsamo, Corsico, Novate Milanese and Sesto San Giovanni. This is the first tender finalised in Italy.

According to a recent statement by Paolo Gallo, CEO of Italgas, the gas distribution areas to be awarded are 177 nationwide, a substantial number. Among these, the area formed by the Municipality of Alessandria and by other eleven locations of the province (Bergamasco, Borgoratto, Carentino, Casal Cermelli, Cassine, Castellazzo, Castelspina, Frascaro, Gamalero, Oviglio and Sezzadio), whose tender was canceled in June 2018 from the administrative court (TAR) following an appeal by 2I Reti Gas, the distribution arm of the infrastructure fund F2i.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
