Tages Helios II renewable energy fund reaches EUR 120m first close

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Milan-based Tages Capital has attracted repeat investment from a number of Italian insurance companies for its latest renewable energy infrastructure fund.

Tages Capital has secured follow-up commitments from Aviva, Posta Vita, Reale Mutua Assicurazioni and UnipolSai Assicurazioni, and Italian bank Intesa San Paolo.

Its first fund, Tages Helios, raised €253m from investors to invest in solar energy. Its portfolio of 95 photovoltaic plants with a total installed capacity of 208 MW it is now the second-largest player in the sector in Italy.

The follow-up fund, Tages Helios II, established last 15 June is intended to be larger and to include investment in wind farms. It has held a first close with a view to eventually raising €400m.

In line with the previous Fund, Tages Helios II will make semi-annual distributions of the income generated by the Fund. This will ensure full amortisation of the invested assets by the expiry date of the Italian government fiscal incentives.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
